“ Dali was extremely busy on a Saturday night but thankfully I had a reservation beforehand. We had to wait a bit for our tables to be cleared and cleaned out, but it was ready after 10 minutes. We ordered the Pinchitos Morunos de Pollo, Costillas de Vaca, Arroz Negro con Calamares, and Albóndigas de Cordero. The Arroz Negro con Calamares was not bad. I really enjoyed the creaminess and flavor of the squid ink rice. The calamari were well seasoned, but I felt that it had too much batter making it unnecessarily filling and oily. The Pinchitos Morunos de Pollo only came with two skewers and tasted overly burnt. This overpowered the marinade and sauce as I could only taste the char of the chicken. The Albóndigas de Cordero was not bad but tasted kind of average so nothing too impressive to note. My favorite is probably the Costillas de Vaca due to the tenderness of the short rib. The meat was succulent and paired well with the sauce making it quite enjoyable without being too heavy. Overall, the food was alright, but I expected a bit more with the priciness of each dish. The service could have been better as they were pretty keen on clearing the table out when we had only sat down for half an hour. Overall, I would give this place 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4 for this review. ”

“ Loved our time at Dali!! We had a reservation for a friends birthday (were only able to snag one because of a cancellation). Thank you to our server for the best experience (it's been a while and I forgot his name I'm so sorry )! He was so kind and fun and made our experience 10x better. I loved all the tapas but if I were to recommend a must try it would be the shrimp and beef toast!! Also of course the sangria! Great spot for a date night to drink at the bar or for a girls night to yap. Definitely would love to come back again! ”

“ Food: In general, good for the most part. There were some tapas dishes I liked more than others. The drinks were good though, my espresso martini was 11/10. It's tapas style, so you can order a lot of small dishes to try. The paella was ok. Service: Our server, Moi, was fabulous. Super attentive and personal. Our food was also pretty fast. Ambiance: It's dark inside, and gets very busy (they tell you to leave as soon as your reservation time is over). The main drawback for me was that there were only 2 bathrooms. The door from front was also confusing. But it was fun going to my friend's birthday here! ”

“ Dali is a charming local tapas restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The sangria was excellent and the menu had a great range of classic tapas fare. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, including readily accommodating gluten free needs for a member of our party. Everything we had was tasty and overall a very nice evening out. ”

“ Yes, this place is as great as everyone says. My second time here last night and had an amazing time. Dined for two whole hours with my party of 4, and our server was lovely. Tapas are my favorite way to dine and I am an olive snob above all. These olives are impeccable. Perfect amount of citrus, herb, and chile. 10/10 The only cons here were our ~15min experience in a very busy line at 5:30 opening, and being charged for a tapas brought to our table by mistake. The food was outstanding and came out quickly considering how busy the place was. It's quite noisy and the decor is eclectic which I love, very on brand. It's quite low light so tell your parents to bring their reading glasses for the menu, and I found that 3 tapas each (as recommended by our server both times I've come here) is more than enough. If you plan on getting a large plate or paella, prepare to bring some home. I think it tastes even better the second day. They were accommodating to my gluten free friend and very attentive to our table when needed. There were five (5!) birthdays during our dinner where they brought out the tambourines, a disco light, and a frog candlestick. Seems to be a great place to celebrate your birthday! The best part was dessert. The chocolate mousse is rich and light, but my lemon catalana was just to die for. The silkiest custard under torched sugar "crackle glaze." Our server's favorite dessert and a must have in my opinion. ”

“ this is my favorite restaurant in the boston area. if you are on the fence of where to dine, this is your sign to come to dali. dali is an experience: from the second you walk into the wooden door and get greeted with the hanging vines, festive decor, warm lighting, and friendly smiles from staff, you know that you have stepped into a true gem. dali transports you across the atlantic to spain, or even elicits warm memories (for me, it is reminiscent of my italian family's eccentric decorating skills with plates on walls, marble replicas, and hanging meat). this is not my first rodeo with dali. i know that the drinks are fantastic and that the bartender is fun and kind - one of my early dates with my boyfriend was us at the bar. i know that i love the squid ink rice and the lamb meatballs and get excited when i see others enjoying the food i love. i know that i will always hear another party explode with laughter a few tables over. dali is a place for gathering, to make merry, and to enjoy good food and drink. this is one of my favorite places in the city and i am happy to be a patron of this wonderful restaurant. ”

“ I really enjoyed looking at the various decorations in the restaurant! The decor, combined with the ambient lighting, and occasional loud birthday celebrations, made for a fun dinner experience. Two of us decided to order a variety of tapas (mostly hot) from the menu. I was not expecting a lot of the dishes to have a sweet undertone to them. We started with the jamón ibérico ($24) which came with a few pieces of crusty focaccia soaked in oil. The fat from both the ham and the oil was very rich. We got the alcachofas rellenas ($15), bolitas de queso ($12), pulpo a'feira ($19), gorditas ($10), and chuletillas de cordero ($15). All of the dishes were decent, but I wouldn't say any of them particularly stood out to me. The alcachofas rellenas tasted just like a baked artichoke dip (delicious, but nothing special). I liked the bolitas de queso but the caramelized onion and honey ended up making the dish too sweet for my liking. The chuletillas de cordero had a similar vibe for me-- the lamb chops had a nice char, but the peach sauce was unexpectedly sweet. If you prefer your dishes to be more savory than sweet, I would not recommend the bolitas de queso, gorditas, or chuletillas de cordero. After we received all of our dishes, we realized that we could still eat so we tried the plato mixto ($25). It came with a huge variety of cheeses and meats which were fun to pair together. Overall the food was good and I enjoyed the vibes as well. ”

“ Favorite restaurant in Cambridge / Boston so far! The food was all amazing. The beef with chimichurri and the vegetable paella were my personal favorites. The beef was super tender and flavorful and the paella had an incredible mix of veggies. As a seafood lover, I was surprised I enjoyed the vegetable paella even more than the seafood one! Service was fantastic and the decor is fun and cozy. ”

“ Can't believe I didn't try this place before tonight!! I always passed by and didn't think much of it until my gf and I decided to try Dali since our friend is visiting from out of town. And I honestly think that this is the best Spanish tapa place I've been to, in greater Boston area. The portions are just right, foods are marvelous and drinks are decent. Ambiance was really great and unique as well, we like how they re-imagine the space as patio. For Tapas Frias - Ensalada de Verano Refrescante : delightful and refreshing salad with touch of watermelon. For Tapas Calientes(hot) - Setas al ajillo : simple mushroom dish but delicious, good veg option. - Patatas Bravas : nothing special. - Queso Rebozado con Miel : my gf's favorite dish! sweet and salty with goat cheese, we had to order 2! - Arroz Espanol : tasty spanish rice, what can I say more? - Arroz Negro con calamares : my favorite dish, combination of creamy squid ink blakc rice and calamaries with garlic ailoli sauce can't be beaten. - Gambas al ajillo : perfect bite with the bread that comes along with. - Lomito al Cabrales : strong goat cheese smell for me but my friend loved it. - Costillas de Vaca : Probably meat eater's favorite dish, it melts in your mouth. Must try! - Veggie empanadas : They were great, comes with two! For dessets - Churros : was okay, little blend. - Crema Catalana : it is quite heavy but tasty, would recommend! - Dulce de Leche Pastel Helado : highlight of our dessert! Loved little dark chocolate bubbles with dulce de leche around it! For drinks - Ibiza : sweet and flowery - Estrella Galicia Especial, Spain (They were out of Moritz ) : it was actually really good if you like lager, I am getting one next time! The one thing was that service was bit slow, although it was pretty crowded night. And parking might be the problem if you are driving since they don't have their own parking lot, but there are few metered spots on the road next to the restaurant. I can't wait to try their Paellas and other dishes! ”
